This coming Thursday, August 6th, will mark a real victory: the Board of Directors has officially approved the reopening of the Lake Club. After weeks of silence, speculation, and a summer of arbitrary closure, our community finally sees the doors opening again.
That’s worth acknowledging, and it’s worth celebrating.
The official update confirms an opening date and little else, but at least the doors to the building are being opened again to the public.
There are no official details announced on what services will be available - no word on how the restaurant and lounge will operate, whether staffing is in place, what the hours will be, or whether this is a full return to normal operations or a partial, phased reopening.
Rumors and unofficial word from one or more parties connected to the reopening lead me to be very positive that this is a genuine reopening.
Let's continue to stay alert and push for complete recovery of the building and its services.
Here are my recommendations:
This Thursday, let’s show up, support the reopening, and enjoy the second step forward, a result of the first victory in stopping a complete staff and management overhaul. Read about that first earlier victory here: The First Victory
Let's show the Board that we are happy that it is opening.
Full recovery of the Lake Club building and its services is the goal—and we intend to see it through.
